Call for Presenters for the GSWS Graduate Colloquium Series

The call for presenters is now open for the GSWS Graduate Colloquium Series.
This is an opportunity for all graduate students working in any area related to women, gender, queer, and sexuality studies to join a cohort of their peers in giving and receiving feedback on work. You can workshop parts of chapters, articles, essays, or practice conference papers and presentations.

Recent Graduate Serena Martinez Wins Phi Beta Kappa Thesis Award

GSWS/FQT is pleased to announce that recent graduate, Serena Baldick Martinez's honors thesis "Reclaimed Nonbinary Harry Potter Fanfiction: Imagining Identity by Reading and Writing a Magical World" was recently awarded the Phi Beta Kappa Thesis Prize. We at the Center for Research in Feminist, Queer, and Transgender Studies and the Program in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies stand with our colleagues around the country who are facing unprecedented attacks on academic freedom. We also call on all in the Penn community to support education measures that affirm the rights of all to safety, nondiscrimination, and life-saving health care–including reproductive and gender affirming care.
