Jennifer Ponce de León, Assistant Professor, English and APC/GSWS Executive Board Member, curated Resurgent Histories, Insurgent Futures for the Slought Foundation in Philadelphia.

Luz Marin (GSWS & APC Program Coordinator) was honored by La Casa Latina, receiving the second annual Dolores Huerta Award.

The Alice Paul Center and GSWS Program are looking to hire a detail-oriented and motivated undergraduate student to help with the maintenance of our new website. Duties include editing, updating, and other basic content management tasks. Working as part of a communications team, you will also help to expand our online presence through the various GSWS social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).

Dr. Ilona Zsolnay has edited a volume resulting from a 2011 conference, Mapping Ancient Near Eastern Masculinities (https://www.academia.edu/4009951/Mapping_Ancient_Near_Eastern_Masculinities), which took place at the Penn Museum. 
 

Heather Love on Why Description Matters

The Queer Internet Studies Workshop brought together thinkers, makers and doers who draw upon social scientific methods to do work at the intersection of queer life and the internet. With this workshop, we brought together researchers who investigate the construction of queer communities, the development of queer knowledge production and cultures, and assess how queer identity is understood and archived.
