Philipp Gufler is an internationally recognized multimedia artist whose work spans artist’s books, textiles, and video. In this artist’s talk, Gufler will present two video installations exploring queer and trans histories, memory, and politics, followed by a discussion of his broader practice and a Q&A.
Drawing on queer archival methodologies and collaborations with LGBTQ+ communities, Gufler’s work recovers voices and experiences often excluded from traditional historical narratives. His practice transforms archival research into accessible, participatory forms of knowledge production, encouraging critical reflection on gender, sexuality, memory, and social justice.
